Barrister Trésor Muipata Kabongo has been a member of the Bar at the Kongo-Central Court of Appeal in the Democratic Republic of Congo since 2017. Before joining Cabinet d’Avocats Muamba Mukengeshayi & Associates, SCP, he worked at Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates, where he acquired solid expertise.

His practice focuses on banking and insurance, industry and investment, infrastructure law, public procurement, and public-private partnerships (PPP).

He also practises litigation, where he represents, advises, and assists clients in various proceedings before the Courts and Tribunals of the Democratic Republic of Congo in matters involving administrative, civil, commercial, labor, land, and real estate law, as well as referrals to the Court of Cassation.

He holds an LLB (a five-year university degree) in law from the University of Kinshasa, majoring in private and judicial law. Barrister Trésor Muipata Kabongo is a member of the International Union of Lawyers  (UIA), Dynamique des avocats du Barreau du Kongo-Central (D.A.B.KC), and a member of the editorial board of the online legal review of the African law portal JuriAfrique, where he has published several articles on the legislation and case law of several African jurisdictions. He speaks French and Lingala.
